The Sphere XG Connector bridges your Planon environment with the Sphere XG platform, enabling a real-time connection between assets, rooms and building data with your 3D point cloud scans, 360° photos and BIM models. With just a few clicks, you can visualize your spaces in Sphere XG’s interface and interact with location-specific asset information.
This integration ensures stakeholders always have access to reliable, up-to-date building context—without unnecessary manual entry or redundant data handling. More Viewing Options: Orthographic camera and Predefined Views
You may now switch between perspective and orthographic camera projections in both 3D overview and export mode. The ability to seamlessly switch between perspective and orthographic camera projections gives you greater flexibility in how you visualize your reality capture data.
On top of that, we’ve made it incredibly easy to navigate your scenes with a single click. You can now instantly jump to one of five predefined views: top, front, back, right, and left view, allowing for quick and efficient analysis.
These new projection options are designed to significantly improve your ability to review and analyze scan data. While the familiar perspective view offers an immersive “as if you were there” experience, the new orthographic view offers an undistorted view of your buildings or sites.
Quicker Navigation
Make your site inspections smoother and faster than ever! No longer do you have to meticulously click on waypoint icons. Now, you can simply click anywhere on the floor plan to instantly jump to the nearest waypoint. This means you can navigate through your captured spaces much more freely, easily, and incredibly fast, bringing you to the closest 360° photo with just a single click. Say goodbye to precise clicking and hello to effortless exploration!
New Ways to Sort Projects in the Sphere XG Dashboard
You can now sort your projects within your workspace. This sorting capability is located in the list view, allowing you to organize your projects by name or by their last updated date, giving you a comprehensive and organized view of all your work. Simply hover over “Project Name” or “Last Updated” in the list view and a little arrow will appear that you can click to start sorting.
Introducing the Group Viewer Role
The brand-new Group Viewer role is here to simplify project access and collaboration within Sphere XG. You can now grant viewing permissions to all projects within a specific group to its members. No more manually inviting or removing individual members from every single project! This significantly streamlines your workflow and ensures everyone who needs to see the data has immediate access.
Even better, this powerful new feature is backwards compatible with the legacy HoloBuilder dashboard. This means that even our pure HoloBuilder customers can benefit from this fantastic improvement right away. Get ready for easier project management and seamless team collaboration!

You can now easily check out ‘What’s New’ directly from the Resource Center. This new link is designed to provide you with a clear, concise overview of all the latest updates in Sphere XG, ensuring you’re always aware of the powerful new tools and enhancements at your fingertips.
Now Live: SCENE to XG Sync for Orbis Data
Previously, any Orbis data processed in SCENE and synced to Sphere XG was invisible. With our new update, your Orbis data will now be fully visible and accessible within Sphere XG. There is no new SCENE update required; just continue using your SCENE 2025.0.1 version.
If you have already synced Orbis projects in the past, don’t worry! Simply re-sync your project again, and your Orbis data becomes visible after processing. If your SCENE project is already showing as fully synced (green), just hit the save button and sync again to trigger the update.
The new visualization uses the same clean overview map style as other scan types uploaded by SCENE, and you’ll have full access to all 360° photos from your mobile scans. Flash scans can be used for measurements, and POI panoramas and start and end points are highlighted with special markers.
